Casino bonuses: how the rollover works and when it lets you cash out
A casino bonus multiplies your first deposit, but it also delays the payout until the rollover is met. Here is how to work it out, which rules to look at and when playing without a bonus pays.
A casino bonus is the promotion that gets advertised most and holds up the most withdrawals. The reason has a name: rollover, the wagering requirement you have to meet before you can withdraw anything won with the bonus. It is not a trap — it is written in the terms — but it changes completely what being paid quickly means. In this guide we explain how to work it out, which other rules to look at, and when playing without a bonus suits you if what you want is a casino that pays without a wait.

Vave stands first by arrangement and sits outside the formula; everything below it is ordered by its star score. Every button on this list opens Vave.
These ten casinos also appear in our general ranking of instant withdrawal casinos.
Kinds of casino bonus at crypto casinos
- The welcome bonus. A percentage on your first deposit, sometimes spread across several deposits. It is the biggest and the one that carries the most rollover.
- Reloads. Bonuses on later deposits, usually at smaller percentages.
- Free spins. Free rounds on specific slots. The winnings usually land as bonus balance.
- Cashback and rakeback. They return part of what you staked or lost. They tend to carry lighter requirements, or none.
- VIP programmes. Rewards by tier, often with higher withdrawal caps.
How the rollover works, with numbers
The rollover is written as a multiplier: x30, x35, x40… It is the number of times you have to stake the bonus amount (or the bonus plus the deposit, depending on the casino) before you can withdraw it.
Take Vave, which has a rollover of x35:
- You deposit 200 €.
- You receive 150%: 300 € of bonus.
- You have to stake 300 × 35 = 10,500 € before the bonus is released.
If you play slots at 1 € a spin, that is 10,500 spins. Not impossible, but not an afternoon's work either. Until then, neither the bonus nor anything won with it can be withdrawn.
That said, the rollover is not necessarily a bad thing. If you were going to stake that volume anyway, the bonus gives you more rounds for the same money. The problem appears when you accept a bonus expecting to cash out tomorrow.
The bonus rules that affect a withdrawal most
Beyond the rollover, these are the conditions that hold up the most withdrawals:
| Rule | What it says | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Rollover | How many times to stake the bonus | It decides when you can be paid |
| Rollover base | The bonus alone, or bonus + deposit | It can double what has to be staked |
| Maximum stake | A ceiling per bet while playing on bonus | Going over it can void the winnings |
| Games that count | A percentage by game type | Live and table can count for little or nothing |
| Time limit | Days in which to meet the rollover | If it expires, you lose the bonus |
| Maximum payout | A ceiling on anything won with the bonus | It can cut a large win down |
If one of these rules is not clear in the terms, ask support before you accept the bonus.
A bonus with no rollover: what is really out there
A bonus with no rollover is every player's dream: extra money you can withdraw with no strings. It exists, but it is rare and usually comes in small formats: free spins whose winnings are paid in real money, weekly cashback with no requirements, or rakeback on every bet, such as the one Duelbits offers.
If you see a very large bonus with no rollover, read it twice: there is almost always another condition, such as a low maximum payout or a very short time limit.
Bonus, or a fast payout?
Both at once is difficult. This is our rule of thumb:
- If you want to be paid soon: deposit without a bonus. Your balance is real money from the first minute.
- If you are going to play a lot anyway: take the bonus, clear the rollover on slots and request the withdrawal once the balance is released.
- If you have already taken a bonus and want to cash out: check how far you have to go. If it is a long way, consider cancelling it; you will lose the bonus and anything won with it, but you will get your deposit back as withdrawable balance (subject to each casino's rules).
The casino bonuses in the ranking
Vave
This site's own pick. A four-deposit package: 150% on the first, 100% on the second, 50% on the third and 25% on the fourth, with an x35 rollover. It is the casino where we have deposited and been paid with our own money, with withdrawals paid in August and September 2026. Everything is in the Vave review.
CoinCasino
One of the largest bonuses: 200% up to $30,000 plus 100 free spins. It also publishes a withdrawal cap of 500,000 € a month.
BetFury
Up to 590% plus 225 free spins spread across several deposits. A percentage that high comes with demanding conditions: read them before you accept.
Mega Dice and Flush
Mega Dice offers 200% up to 1 BTC; Flush, 150% up to $1,000. Both run a crypto cashier.
Rakebit, Bitcasino.io, TrustDice and Bitsler
100% bonuses on the first deposit with different ceilings: 4,000 USDT at Rakebit, 1,500 USDT at Bitcasino.io, 1 BTC plus 25 free spins at TrustDice and $1,000 plus 500 free spins at Bitsler.
Bonus mistakes that delay a payout
- Accepting the bonus by default without looking at the box when you deposit.
- Playing live games on bonus balance and finding out it does not count towards the rollover.
- Going over the maximum stake allowed.
- Requesting a withdrawal with the bonus live and expecting it to come out whole.
- Letting the bonus expire halfway through the rollover.
If your withdrawal is stuck and you do not know why, check the bonus section of your account first. And if the reason is verification, see casinos without KYC; if it is the cap, see withdrawal limits.
Responsible play
A bonus is not free money: it asks you to stake more to release it. Decide your budget before you accept it and do not deposit more just to reach a reload. Gambling is for adults over 18; if it stops being fun, stop. There is free help at juegoresponsable.es.
